It looks like the First Time Home Buyer Tax Credit may be sticking around a little longer than originally planned. There are still a few questions regarding amendments requested by the Senate Republicans, but if all can be smoothed over, the credit will be extended until April 30. Introduced last February as a means of kickstarting the sluggish housing market, over 1.2 million borrowers have claimed $8.5 billion out of the original $13.6 billion allocated for the credit. The economic stimulus plan, as approved by the House and Senate in February, included sizable funding in several areas related to health information technology. $300 million was allocated to the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology’s regional or sub-national efforts.

President Obama said he will help fix the health care system, and along with Congress and the Senate figure out a way so that no one is left uninsured. This means everyone will get the medical treatment they need in case something terrible happens. This is especially important for families with children, or surviving spouses that are living on a very small fixed amount of income without huge benefits.
